Arabians Soon Available for Fostering

Hi Everybody,

Happy Holidays! The horses are doing rather well and continuing to grow stronger daily.  A huge THANK YOU to everybody for their support and willingness to volunteer through one of the busiest times of the year.  We wouldn’t be able to care for these amazing creatures without your help.
We’re hoping to have some of them cleared for foster in the coming weeks.  The foster application is below for those of you that would like to fill one out.
Once completed, it should be returned to me at Lucy Mackenzie.
The mailing address is PO Box 702, Brownsville, VT 05037.  If you have any questions, let me  know.

Best,
Jackie Stanley

Missing Senior Husky in Weathersfield, VT

Our senior husky (18 years) went missing on 10/31/2014 in Weathersfield, Vermont. She is 35-40 pounds with a red collar and has a microchip.

Sightings include Wellwood Orchard Road in Springfield, VT on that night; followed by two sightings of her at the intersections of Craigue Hill, Massey and Middle Roads in Springfield as well two weeks ago.

She most likely will not come if called but will respond to other animals.

Thank you for your help! Any further information, please call Dayle at (508) 259-4830.

Cold, Potential For Significant Snow Assumulations, Rain? Week Isn't Looking Good!

Inside the Forecast

Today's Forecast

  http://www.wcax.com/weather

High pressure will continue to work in today. This will bring us clearing skies. However, temps will be chilly, with highs of 18/28.

Tonight we will see clear skies this evening give way to partly cloudy skies overnight. Lows will average -5/10; if you're heading out be sure to bundle up!

Monday skies are looking partly cloudy. After a very cold start highs will reach back between 25/32.

After that we are keeping our eye on a potent coastal storm that will move in on Tuesday and linger around through the end of the week.

There's still a great deal of uncertainty, but the potential does exist for significant snow accumulations, especially in the high terrain.

Right now it looks like snow and rain will develop on Tuesday. Periods of rain and snow will continue on Wednesday.

Then, as the flow turns more northerly, snow showers will stick around on Thursday and even into Friday. This is a very tricky forecast and our weather models are still struggling with the storm track...please check back for updates.

In the longer term it looks like we'll finally quiet down next Saturday.

Enjoy today's chilly sunshine!
