Reading, Vt. — Lucy B. Adams,
99, a longtime resident of Reading, passed away Wednesday morning, Jan.
27, 2016, at the Davis Home in Windsor, Vt.
She was born Jan. 28, 1916, in Braintree, Vt.
the daughter of Harry and Alta Belle (Stone) Flint. She received her
schooling in Braintree. She married Theron H. Adams in 1935. She and her
husband own and operated their family farm in Morrisville for many
years. They moved to Reading in October of 1950. Lucy did housekeeping
for several families in the Reading area. She was fond of sewing and
enjoyed spending time with her family and many friends. Her husband
passed away in 1976.
She was also predeceased by her parents and one brother, Francis L. Flint.
Survivors include one son, Eugene G. Adams and
his wife, Alice of Perkinsville, Vt.; one daughter, Maralyn Jillson and
her husband, Nelson of Dummerston, Vt.; seven grandchildren and several
great-grandchildren.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, Feb. 2 from 1
p.m. to 2 p.m. at the Knight Funeral Home in Windsor. The funeral
service will begin at 2 p.m. with the Rev. William Sheldon, officiating.
Committal services will be held in the spring in the Mountain View
Cemetery in Braintree, Vt.
