The Weathersfield Fire Commission is in need of a Member of the Public (who is not in direct relationship to any Weathersfield Volunteer Fire Department member) to complete their 5 member board. Attendance and participation at meetings is extremely important.
This term will run through March of 2017.
Meetings are currently held at 7pm on the 4th Tuesday of each month at West Weathersfield Volunteer Fire Department or Martin Memorial Hall/Weathersfield Town Offices.
The Purpose and Mission of the
Weathersfield Fire Commission:
The Weathersfield Fire Commission was
established by vote of the Town Meeting in 1990.
The purpose of the Fire Commission is
to aid communications between the two (2) fire departments.
The mission of the Weathersfield Fire
Commission is to assist the Ascutney Volunteer Fire Association and
the West Weathersfield Volunteer Dire Department in providing
high-quality, well-coordinated fire protection services for the Town
of Weathersfield, while fostering a close working relationship with
the Select Board.
Any resident who wishes to be
appointed to the Commission is asked to submit a short email or
letter of interest to: weathersfield@weathersfield.org or Town
of Weathersfield, PO Box 550, Ascutney, VT 05030, ATTN: Fire
Commission Opening.
Vacancy is OPEN until a member of the
public has been appointed by the Select Board.
